The kids at St. Jude’s Church and School are invited to participate in all Loaves and Fishes Ministries, but there is one particular to them. Twice a year kids are invited to share their gently used Halloween costumes from years past as well as prom dresses. These are donated to agencies serving kids in foster care or members of farm workers’ families. This is a great way for our youth to participate in making others feel special and included for these events. Donations may be brought to the parish office by Friday, November 8 or to any of the November Family Faith or Confirmation sessions. If you have any questions, please call Jackie Treuting at 805-405-6804.

Every October the Catholic Church celebrates Respect Life Month! This month let’s deepen our understanding of why, as Catholics we must cherish and defend every human life from conception till natural death. You can find resources for Respect Life Month by visiting the Office of Life, Justice and Peace's website. This October let’s celebrate Respect Life Month by asking our Blessed Mother for her intercession! As Missionary Disciples we can look to our Blessed Mother's Life as example of love and service. Let’s ask for Mary’s courage and strength as we work to build a culture that protects and cherishes every human life.
