Eucharistic Ministers prayerfully serve the people of St. Jude's by distributing the Body and Blood of Christ during Eucharistic celebrations. As an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist, commonly referred to as a Eucharistic minister or EM, lay people can serve the Catholic Church by distributing Holy Communion during Mass. An EM must be a fully initiated member of the Church (having received the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation).
Commitment: Initially training and then by responding to the weekly request for Eucharistic Ministers, you serve as often as you are able - usually once a weekend at a Mass of your choosing.
