Faith Begins at Home
At St. Jude, we take seriously the call for each family to be the Domestic Church and our Faith Formation programs reflect this belief. Passing on the faith begins at home and we support you in your mission.
Faith Formation for students in Preschool – 8th grade is a combination of in-home activities with connection to the parish through monthly gatherings, Mass, mini-retreats and/or service. Confirmation begins in 9th grade. Visit the Confirmation/High School Ministry page here. All children are welcome. If you have a child with special learning or behavioral needs, please let us know. We offer a Special Abilities Ministry as well as ways to welcome students into traditional classrooms, click here for details.

Family Faith Preschool - Grade 5Families gather once a month for family activities, grade level classes and adult formation. Follow up with work to be completed at home.Discover! Home Guides Links from St. Mary's Press for Family Faith:Sacramental Preparation: First Communion and Reconciliation: Preparation for Sacraments is a two -year process with the first year being basic faith formation. Following the first year, your child will continue with basic faith formation along with added preparation for each Sacrament, Reconciliation and Eucharist.First Year of Preparation
- Attend Family Faith (1-5) or other grade level program.
- Complete requirements of grade level program
- Review the learning outcomes for First Year here: Heart and Hands Yr. 1
Second Year of Preparation:- Attend both Family Faith (or grade level program) and Sacramental Preparation Sessions for each Sacrament. Homework will only be from Sacrament sessions. See calendar below

Registration opens July 1st
We are looking forward to being together again for Family Faith. Our staff and volunteers are planning for your students so we can make this year a faith-filled journey for your family.
Fees 2026/27
- Family Faith / Special Abilities fee: $150/family up to 2 children
- For each additional child, please add $30/child
- Additional fee for Second Year Reconciliation / Eucharist is $60
- Middle School Ministry Fee: $85

Refund Policy: Refunds will only be made prior to the opening session, net of a $20 processing fee. After the opening session, only partial refunds (50%) will be given. - Family Faith / Special Abilities fee: $150/family up to 2 children
