Being a lector at Saint Judes involves proclaiming the Sacred Scripture during Mass, bringing the Word of God to the congregation with clarity, reverence, and conviction. It requires strong public speaking skills, a deep respect for the Bible, and an active, practicing Catholic faith, including participation in other parts of the liturgy. Lectors are trained to read from the Lectionary and may also read the Universal Prayers (Prayers of the Faithful). Time commitment: One weekend mass once or twice a month.
