Right after the Opening Prayer at 10:00 a.m. Mass, children in Pre-K through 5th grade are invited to come forward and process out of the church with our trained volunteer catechists. In the Parish Hall, we explore the same Sunday Scripture readings proclaimed at Mass—presented in a warm, welcoming way that helps children better understand and connect with what they hear.

Through storytelling, hands-on activities, music, and conversation, children are encouraged to listen, wonder, and discover how God’s Word speaks to their own lives. After about twenty minutes, the children return to you in church.

Why bring your child?

• Age-appropriate: Scripture is shared using language that makes sense to kids.
• Engaging: Crafts, simple songs, movement, and discussion help bring the readings to life.
• Connected to the Mass: Children come to see that God’s Word is an important part of our worship, helping them feel more comfortable and confident at Mass as they grow.

How it works

1. Come to 10:00 a.m. Mass and sit wherever you like.
2. Children will be invited forward immediately following the opening prayer. At that time, they may join us at the front of the church—no sign-up needed. (A quick chat before Mass can help your child know what to expect)
3. Our volunteers escort the children to the Parish Hall, share the readings, pray together, and then bring them back to church.
4. If your child feels a bit shy, you’re welcome to walk with them.

Our Children’s Liturgy program has grown so much since restarting a few years ago, and we truly love seeing new faces each week. We sincerely hope you and your children will continue to join us—it’s a gift to grow in faith together.
