Rick and Teresa Ysasi have been leading St. Jude’s Children’s Liturgy of the Word program since 2023. They are the parents of three children and have a heart for helping people of all ages grow in their faith.

St. Jude has been woven throughout their family’s story. Teresa attended St. Jude the Apostle Catholic School, received her sacraments here, and she and Rick were married at St. Jude in 2013. Together they celebrated the baptisms of their two youngest children at the parish.

Before serving in Children’s Liturgy of the Word, Rick and Teresa volunteered in the parish’s OCIA ministry, accompanying adults as they explored the Catholic faith and prepared to enter the Church.

They especially enjoy getting to know parish families and helping children grow in their faith. They consider it a privilege to serve the St. Jude community and to partner with parents as they nurture a lifelong faith in their children.
